Nothing I can say will fully express the excitement I have about the way the vote went. Wow. Finally, after eight years of ineptitude, we are going to have a president with a brain.
And I was extremely excited to find out this morning that Obama plans to have a cabinet that includes Republicans as well as Democrats. While I am a liberal Democrat, I strongly believe in fairness. And I was glad when Obama said, in his speech on Tuesday night, that he plans to be everyone's presidnet, not just the folks who elected him. What a dramatic shift from eight years ago, when Bush ran as a "compassionate conservative" and then went on to run the most partisan government in our history.
I say put conservatives in the cabinet, along with liberals, and moderates. Let's have dissent and discussion, and lively debate.
